Instructions for Downloading Iran Web2 Font

If you use a Mac operating system, click here to download Iran Web 2 font for MacOS.  If you use Microsoft Windows, click here to download Iran Web 2 font for Windows.  But using Windows 98 and Netscape, I have been unable to download the font using the link that they say to use at the previous link. Instead, simply download the font using the first link in step #1 at the previous link. Then follow the remaining instructions. I think I have finally been successful in fixing the problem that would not allow the Iran Web 2 font to display the appropriate characters while running Netscape. (March 1, 2001)

Note well! If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer and Windows 95 and if you encounter problems with the Iran Web 2 font, read this Instructions for Windows Users link. (Revised for Windows98 and Explorer 5.0. on February 17, 2001.)

Note also! If you are using Netscape 4.04 (and possibly other versions) and a Mac, the instructions at the above link for selecting the Iran Web 2 font--after you have downloaded and installed it--are misleading!    After you have downloaded the font and have put it in your system folder, when you want to read the pages for the article "Sufi Koran Commentary," follow these steps:
1) Pull down the "Edit" menu in Netscape and choose "Preferences."
2) Then choose "Appearances" and "Fonts."
3) Then in the box "Variable width font" select "Iran Web2" and choose OK.
4) After you are done reading the article, in order to redisplay your former font return to "Preferences," repeat steps 2) and 3), except that instead of selecting "Iran Web2," select the name of your prefered font.

Do not  follow the instructions given at the IranWeb 2 site for what is numbered there as steps 6) and 7) as listed below:
6.Everytime you start Netscape and come to the Iranica page, select Options, select General Preferences, select fonts, choose "user defined" in the box titled, "For the Encoding", for the proportional fonts choose  IranWeb2, and press OK.
7.Select Options, set encoding to "user defined."
These two steps are incorrect for Netscape 4.04 and may also be incorrect for other versions.
